The study of global society and its various components from three perspectives: social, political, and economic. Particular attention is given to the concepts and realities that lead to a better understanding of the challenges and problems facing today's world. This course offers an effective education opportunity for those students whose maturity and interests allow them to undertake a rather rigorous self-study progam. The professor's role in such an enterprise is essentially that of a guide and mentor. All didactic materials, including the textbook, are creations of the professor who conducts the course. Special attention is given to developing good study habits in conjunction with analytical and communication skills. All aspects of the course take place via the Internet, including examinations.
