The following is the grade scale that will be used throughout the semester: 90-100 (A), 80-89 (B), 70-79 (C), 60-69 (D), 50-0 (F). (At the end of the semester, the numerical average is converted into a letter grade in accord with university norms.) This scale will be used for all graded assignments. However, the assignments are not weighted equally, that is to say, a 90 in a routine assignment does not count as much as a 90 in a module or examination. The professor sends an acknowledgment of each assignment received. If you do not receive this notification ("Received") within a reasonable time, check on its status via a separate communcation to the professor. Most assignments and acknowledgments are sent through the WebCT internal e-mail system.
